Kimberly Stiele was born and raised in the suburban city of Bloomington, Minnesota. She grew up with one sibling, her younger sister Lindsay. As a kid and into her college years, Kimberly wanted to be a lawyer. She studied political science with a minor in art history at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota but decided to take a different route after school.

In 2001, Kimberly married the love of her life, Sam. They have two kids, 13-year-old Oliver, and 9-year-old Caroline.

What Compelled You to Start itSpray Vitamins?

Kimberly’s dad, husband, as well as her husband’s family all had their own businesses. She has been around people with an entrepreneurial spirit her whole life. Her son, Oliver uses his business prowess to sell lemonade, and he sure is good at it!

Of course, Kimberly couldn’t have done it without the support of her awesome family! She says her dad was always her biggest cheerleader and her husband supported the extra time she had to put into her work. Her kids showed their support as well! They made Tik Tok videos, created art, and tested the products!

What Obstacles Did You Face?

Here is what Kimberly says about the difficulties of starting a business:

“Start-up is never easy. As prepared as you think you are something witll always throw up a road block. Be ready with plan B, C, D, E, and Z if necessary. Even in a mature business, COVID thew a wrench in our plan. When retailers couldn’t get tylenol and toilet paper, foot traffic was down and they weren’t taking on new products.”

What is Your Advice to Female Entrepreneurs?

Kimberly’s advice to female entrepreneurs is this:

“Do your homework, make a list, have great people around you and be okay with not being right all the time. You have to take some calculated risks and days mean a lot in start-up.”
