Tropical Dragonfruit Smoothie Bowl Recipe
Smoothies are good, but in my opinion, smoothie bowls are great. If you are looking for a little more substance than a typical smoothie provides, smoothie bowls the perfect way to go. Enjoy this tasty, tropical dragonfruit smoothie bowl recipe for breakfast or lunch! It is especially refreshing on a hot summer day!
Tropical Dragonfruit Smoothie Bowl Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 banana (half in the blender, half sliced on top)
- 1 cup frozen dragonfruit
- 3/4 cup milk of your choice (I used 1% milk)
- 3/4 tablespoon coconut almond butter
- 1/4 cup granola of your choice (I used coconut cashew granola from Cascadian Farms)
Directions
- Firstly, place the dragonfruit, milk, and almond butter into a blender. Then add half of your banana (the mixture will be thicker if the banana half is frozen).
- Next, blend the mixture until smooth. If it doesn’t blend well add another splash of milk or water.
- Then, pour the smoothie into a bowl (you may need a spatula to get it all out). Slice the other half of the banana and place it on top with the granola (make it pretty!). You know your smoothie bowl is the right consistency if the banana and granola sit on top without sinking.
- Lastly, enjoy this delicious and nutritious smoothie bowl!
